Bombay Rebels
KarmetiK Orchestra’s Bombay Rebels is a musical celebration of iconic changemakers who lived in Bombay from the 16th to 21st century. Through original compositions, each piece honors a visionary figure and their impact on Indian history. Accompanying the live performance, custom visuals and projection mapping respond to the music in real time, with each song receiving a unique visual identity that reflects its story, color palette, and sonic character.
Visual design was created in TouchDesigner in collaboration with Junson Park, with each composition receiving a distinct visual and color treatment that corresponded to its story and musical elements. The designs were then projection mapped onto cubic structures positioned in front of the stage. During the live performance at REDCAT Los Angeles, the visuals were triggered and sequenced in real time, responding to the music and creating a unified visual and sonic experience.
